Horseback Riding
From our herd of 60 horses you will be assigned your own horse for Jackson Hole horseback riding for the duration of your stay. Our head wrangler will match the horse and rider according to ability, physical requirements and horse temperament. Goosewing wranglers are experienced horsemen & women and will instruct you in our arena and on the trail on how to ride well for a memorable Jackson Hole horseback riding experience. If all you want to do is walk and enjoy the scenery, we have the perfect trail; if you want to trot and lope, we have rides appropriate for this as well.
- Each ride is limited to 6 or 7 horses per wrangler
- Riding lessons available in the arena or on the trail

Pack trips are available for all 5 and 10 night stays. A pack trip for 5 night stays begin by spending your first 3 nights at the ranch. You will leave on your 3rd day to begin riding into the Gros Ventre Wilderness area. Typically you will ride between 7 and 8 hours that day. You will make camp in the wilderness and spend the night staying in canvas wall tents and sleeping on cots. We will provide sleeping bags, and all the other gear you need. The only things you need to bring are a few layers of clothing, water bottles, etc. You will break camp the following morning and ride back out to the Gros Ventre valley. After getting out of the back country you will can collect your things and head into the town of Jackson to spend your final night in comfort. We will book a cabin for you at Jackson’s luxurious Rustic Inn.
