Located just 35 miles (approximately a 1.5-hour drive) from downtown Jackson Hole, the Goosewing is nestled deep within the 3.4 million-acre Gros Ventre Wilderness, offering exceptional privacy amid breathtaking Teton scenery. Yellowstone National Park lies just 90 miles to the north, making the ranch an ideal base for exploring two of the West’s most iconic landscapes. Operating on a sustainable off-grid infrastructure, the ranch provides complete autonomy while bordering the Bridger-Teton National Forest and the north side of the Gros Ventre River. Its only neighbors are the abundant wildlife that call the wilderness home, including elk, moose, bighorn sheep, deer, and bears. While there is no cell service, Wi-Fi allows guests to stay connected when needed.
The Goosewing is 1.5 hours driving from downtown Jackson Hole.
The road to the ranch is a combination of park, local and dirt roads. Although the ranch is only 35 miles as the crow flies, the last section takes about 45 minutes as it is a developed dirt road requiring care and attention.
Spectacular scenery should be expected on the way in. Most of the drive is outside of cell service range. The ranch staff will coordinate with you to assure you have a plan and expected arrival time.
The Goosewing Ranch can provide pre-arranged transportation as an add-on to your ranch package.
